CLT PBPL supports a corporate specific pickleball league so that your company can play against other local businesses in the Charlotte, NC area. Bragging rights on the line - will your company come out on top?
Register
Register your team for the league and pay the $200 team fee. Your team can include up to 6 players. Teams must be co-ed.
Play
Wait for the league to start to view your league. Record results after the match.
Stay Up To Date
Each season is 9 weeks. Use the website to view the standings and your schedule.
Playoffs
Playoff format will be revealed prior to the start of the season. The playoffs span 1 week, directly after the regular season ends. Win a trophy, t-shirts, and credits for next season.
CORPORATE LEAGUE SPECIFICS (Co-Ed Pickleball Teams)
Team Size
Up to 6 employees may be rostered on 1 team. Your company can register as many teams as they wish. Any combination of 1 male and 1 female employee may play any pickleball match. There is no minimum or maximum amount of times an employee may play but each match must feature a co-ed pair.
Registration and Team Cost
Your company or your team captain will register the team. They will fill out the registration form for your team. The cost is $200 per team. A team may have a maximum of 6 players. The minimum amount of players is 2 (1 male and 1 female). Your company may field as many teams as they would like.
There will also be up to $45 in court reservation costs during the 9-week season, but this is handled between your team captain and your company.
Regular Season Schedule
The regular season is 9 weeks long. Your team will play at least 18 matches during the 9-week season (2 matches per week on average) **See Match Scheduling Below For More Info.
Matches
Matches will be best of 3 Games. Games are played to 11 and the team must win by 2 points. If 1 team wins the first 2 Games, the Match is over. You may rotate players in and out between games within the match. The players who participate can vary based on your choosing but each match and each point in the match must feature a coed pair. You may rotate players in and out between games (but not during the middle of a game).
Playoffs
There will be a playoffs following the end of the regular season. More details will be released towards the end of the regular season. Your team will be provided a specific day/time/location to complete your playoff match. The playoffs span 1 week, directly after the regular season ends.
Prizes
The playoff winner will be awarded a trophy to bring back to their office and t-shirts for their team. The winning team will also receive free entry for the following season. The runner up will receive a $50 credit applied to their team fee for the following season.
**Match Scheduling
You are guaranteed 2 matches per week (2 matches will be completed within a 1 hour time-frame). Each team will know the day and the opponent that they will play prior to the start of the season. The exact time slot and location will be given 1 week prior to the actual match. The time slot and location will be communicated with the team captain.
Each team designates a team captain that is responsible for communicating with teammates about matches and picks who plays for their team each match.
The team captain will let CLT PBPL know of their team's availability prior to the start of the season. For instance, "we want to play every Tuesday and Wednesday at 6:00 PM, and we are open to x, y, and z locations. We also are flexible for other days but prefer every Tuesday." CLT PBPL will then set a fixed schedule based on those reponses.
CLT PBPL will let the captains know when the fixed schedule has been set. The schedule will be viewable on the website.
The playoffs will have set days and times for each matchup
Match Scoring System
The winning team will receive between 7 and 12 points depending on outcome (point differiential).
The losing team will receive between 1 and 6.5 points depending on the outcome (games won and point differiential)
The scoring system was uniquely designed to encourage play and reward both teams for competing as every point won during the match can influence your overall match score. The scoring system is as follows:
1 point for each match played
3 points for each Game won during the Match
0.5 points for losing a Game by 2 points
0.25 points for losing a Game by 3 points
5 points for a match point differential of a combined total of 21 or more points
3.5 points for a match point differnetial of a combined total between 15 and 20 points
2.5 points for a match point differential of a combined total between 10 and 14 points
1.5 points for a match point differential of a combined total between 6 and 9 points
0.5 points for a match point differential of a combined total between 1 and 5 points

2024 Summer Co-Ed Corporate League
Spring Co-Ed Corporate League (6 players maximum, only 2 players need to be available for any given match). League runs from May 27th - August 3rd
2024 Fall Co-Ed Corporate League
Summer Co-Ed Corporate League (6 players maximum, only 2 players need to be available for any given match). League runs from September 7th - November 16th
